Daniel Lubetzky is a social entrepreneur working to build bridges between people and increase appreciation for our shared humanity. Daniel’s mission is rooted in his heritage as the son of a Holocaust survivor; he has made it his life’s work to help prevent what happened to his dad from happening again to others.

His best-known venture is KIND, which makes delicious and nutritious snack foods. KIND, which was established as a not-only-for-profit, has a mission to elevate kindness and empathy in society. The KIND Foundation’s signature initiative Empatico empowers elementary students to explore their similarities and differences through live video and activities.

Daniel is also the founder of PeaceWorks Inc., a business that fosters cooperative ventures among neighbors in conflict regions. Additionally, he co-founded the OneVoice Movement, an international grassroots effort that amplifies the voices of moderate Israelis and Palestinians.

Daniel is the author of the New York Times best seller Do the KIND Thing. He is also a Guest Shark on Season 11 of ABC’s Shark Tank. In his spare time, he enjoys doing magic and spending time with his wife and 4 kids.

What You’ll Do: 

As the Social Media Manager you will be responsible for building Daniel’s social media platforms and engaging with Daniel’s community across multiple social platforms. Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute a digital strategy in support of Daniel’s thought leadership platform in business and civic arenas.

 

Strategy to cover:

  • Roles of channels

  • Audience growth plans

  • Channel specific content guardrails

  • Organize and execute ongoing content calendar

  • Work with teams at KIND and Daniel’s philanthropies to support key initiatives on Daniel’s social media channels

  • Create and post engaging evergreen content

  • Leverage events in Daniel’s calendar to create and post relevant content

Community management

  • Engage quickly and efficiently in pop-culture/real time/trending moments, across platforms with accurate and engaging content

  • Engage regularly with Daniel’s community across channels

  • Provide monthly analytics/reporting

  • Analyze performance across channels

  • Apply learnings to future posts and engagement

Network advisory

  • Provide guidance to the social media teams at Daniel’s philanthropic entities

You are:

  • An outgoing, creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit

  • A flexible team player, ready to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment

  • So immersed in social media you frequently walk into lamp posts and on the front edge of what’s new

  • Genuine in your desire to help make the world a kinder place, committing to always spreading and celebrating kindness

 

You Have:

  • 4-7 Years of Experience

  • BA/BS, English, Journalism or Marketing background preferred

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Experience in community management for a brand, personality, non-profit, or political campaign

  • Experience with social media management systems, analytics and social listening tools

  • Graphic design (Photoshop) and video editing (After Effects/Final Cut Pro) skills

  • Interest in most pressing issues of our time including challenges to democratic values and the rise of extremism

  • Knowledge of paid media
